Playschool FAQs
What is the difference between Playschool and Playgroup?
Does my child need to be potty trained?
Yes, your child must be completely bathroom independent for Playschool.
What is the age cutoff?
What is the cost?
Tuition is $500 per month. This cost includes school supplies and materials. There is a discount should you choose to pay in full.
Will my child just play all day or will there be an academic component?
Our preschool prioritizes play and exploration. With that being said, we will meet and exceed the Ohio preschool standards while being immersed in nature and play.
What philosophy is the curriculum based on?
Our lead teacher is traditionally and Waldorf trained. She will be pulling the best of those philosophies, while also being influenced by Montessori and forest schooling.
What is the policy for weather?
As the saying goes, “There is no bad weather, just bad clothes.” We will be in school and experiencing the elements as much as we possibly can while also keeping everyone safe.
How many children will be in the class?
There will be a lead teacher, assistant teacher, and 16-18 students depending on the age makeup of class. There will also be a director present on the farm.
Does the Playschool accept children with special needs?
We want the farm to be a space for all and welcome all children. However, at this time, we do not have the support services to make the preschool the best place for a child with special needs. We would love for you to come to Playgroup or try some of our other programming.
What gear will my child need for Playschool?
Our goal is to be out in the fresh air and nature. We will give you a gear list at the end of summer to prepare for the school year.
